Detail of Halo Shelter polychrome panel. Halo Shelter is a Pecos River Style rock art shelter on the Devils River. The shelter is large and contains archaic paintings. The name halo comes from the fine crowns or headdresses that are seen over some of the paintings. Halo is known for its exceptionally fine preservation and bright images.
